TK in the Community

TK Financial Group is committed to providing support and funding to our community.

In 1999, TK Financial Group created the TK Financial Group Fall Classic Golf Tournament. This annual fundraising event has become one of the successful events of its kind in Ottawa. Over the years, we have been able to donate all profits to three wonderful local charities: OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network, the Canadian Diabetes Association and the University Of Ottawa Heart Institute. With the support and generosity of participants and sponsors, the TK Financial Group has donated over $186,800 to these causes.

TK Financial Group is also a proud sponsor of local youth athletics. We believe that supporting extracurricular activities for youth in our community is crucial to the development of character within the future generations.

TK Financial Group has also donated generously to the following local non-profit organizations: University of Ottawa Football Program, Canada Company, Jewish Foundation of Ottawa, The Ottawa Food Bank, The Ottawa Mission and The Shepherd’s of Good Hope. We are investing in our community and making Ottawa a better place for the future.

The Oaks luncheon TKFG

At TK Financial Group, service and care have been a hallmark of our company throughout its history. These services philosophy comes to life every time we help a customer – whether with a simple, everyday request or in a crisis situation. We show the same care and commitment to service in our community.

On September 21. 2016, TKFG was pleased to sponsor and host a BBQ luncheon for the residents of The Oaks.  The Oaks Residence, located in Ottawa West represents a unique partnership between Shepherds of Good Hope, Inner City Health and Canadian Mental Health Association.   Employees of TK Financial Group were pleased to serve the residents of the Oaks BBQ hamburgers and salads.  We all enjoyed delicious food and fellowship during our time together!

TK Financial Group has received the following award from the Canadian Diabetes Association.

“This award is given to an individual or group representing a company or organization that provides extraordinary support and ongoing commitment to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Staff at TK Financial Group are committed to generously supporting local not for profit organizations. This close knit staff has personal connections to diabetes and has donated proceeds totaling almost $36,000 from their annual charity golf tournament. By means of this award, the Association wishes to express thanks and appreciation to TK Financial Group for its ongoing commitment to the diabetes cause.”

Kudos & Applause Celebrating those who make a difference

The Canadian Diabetes Association would like to offer Kudos to the TK Financial Group for hosting their 13th Annual Charity Golf Fall Classic on September 12, 2011 raising $19,000 for three local charities Canadian Diabetes Association, University of Ottawa Heart Institute, One Match Stem Cell and Marrow Network. TK Financial Group has been proud to sponsor and organize this event since 1999; to date they have raised over $186,800 for charity.

In 2006, the Canadian Diabetes Association became involved as a recipient charity, and so far received $42,000 in support of diabetes research that will improve care, and ultimately eliminate diabetes. The Association currently has promising research initiatives underway across the country several of which are taking place at institutions in Ottawa.

TK Financial Group is a close-knit company that has personal connections to each of the charities they support. Amie Gibson from the Canadian Diabetes Association says, “It’s not something they have to do; but they have made a commitment to give back to their community through this tournament. It feels great to have such a wonderful organization in your corner.” Thank you to the TK Financial Group for your generosity and kudos to the entire team!
